This is the report of 3 cases of pseudocyst of the pancreas treated successfully at the department of general surgery of Kwangju Christian Hospital. In this series;
All three patients were middle aged man.
Their causes were blunt, non-penetrating trauma to the upper abdomen..
Main clinical manifestations were upper abdominal pain and upper abdominal mass increasing in size.
Preoperative diagnosis was made by means of trauma-history, symptoms, and signs, upper G-I series and serum amylase.
All pseudocysts were located in the lesser sac.
Treatment in one case consisted of- marsupialization because of the patients, poor general ,condition, was followed by Roux-en-Y cystojejunostomy because of recurrance. Another case was treated by a .Roux-en-Y Procedure.primarily and the third, by cystoduodenostomy with pyloroplasty, both -with good results,
A brief review of literature was made.
